Jared Newlen
Teacher
Jared is an active woodwind musician and teacher in New York City, where he has performed hundreds of concerts, cabarets, and musical theater shows, including Broadway and the award-winning cabaret series “An Evening With…”
Jared holds a Master of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
When Jared isn’t performing, he enjoys teaching woodwinds at the Dwight-Englewood School in New Jersey. He also has a private studio in which his students have progressed to attend competitive schools and have earned spots in audition-based programs.

Beginner Saxophone Level 1
ON-DEMAND CLASS for all saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, bari) - Building off of the Fundamentals Class, this bundle of 4 lessons (4-8 hours of total lesson time) mimics a private lesson curriculum. You will learn new notes and your first Jazz tune, Sonnymoon for Two by Sonny Rollins.

Continue building your skills with Beginner Saxophone Level 2, where you'll learn how to play Blue Bossa, plus numerous other foundational saxophone skills. Beginner Level 2 contains 5 lessons (8-12 hours of total lesson time). This Class will be $59 for all 5 lessons.
